Dipika is a student enrolled nurse. She is on the placement in major city hospital in Adelaide in a surgical ward. During the handover she overheard the conversation of EN and RN regarding the treatment of a chronic venous ulcer in elderly client. The RN proposed a traditional method of wound management using Iodine dressings. Dipika is passionate about reviewing methods of the chronic ulcers’ treatment with the use of Hydrocolloids dressing and wanted to explore advantages of Hydrocolloid dressing over the traditional dressing. a.
